Hello,
while evaluating the Laird EWB board using WICED 6.6, i often run into failed asserts. Since the debugger is painfully slow, I am hoping to get some error information via UART.
The behavior of wiced_assert() is defined in wwd_assert.h by WPRINT_ENABLE_ERROR and DEBUG defines.
Where should I set those defines to get useful information (current file, line number and assert string) out of my UART interface? Especially WPRINT_ENABLE_ERROR does not seem to exist neither in code nor documentation.
The same kind of information would also be helpful for stack overflows, heap allocation errors and general hard faults.
Thanks,
Martin

Show LessHi Sir,
We are evaluating how much ROM,RAM that 43012 P2P will use,I check P2P function in test.console demo firstly,it works fine . So I attempt to port just P2P function to a new demo such as p2p_go_start(),but it always remind me that MAC address is wrong as below:
Error: MAC address is locally administered. Modify MAC address in generated_mac_address.txt file to be globally
administered, e.g. if first byte of MAC address is 0x02 change it to 0x00. If testing multiple Wiced p2p devices ensure that they have unique MAC addresses.
I have checked generated_mac_address.txt , the first byte of macaddr is already 0x00,because of this problem,P2P will not initialize.My WICED version is 6.4, because console demo can't perform P2P with 43012 in 6.2 and 6.6.Please give me some advice ,thanks.

Leo

Do we have any detail introduction about CYW54907 register?
Hello,
I have implemented an example web application based on the angular framework which I would like to host on the Laird EWB platform.
So far I´ve managed to place all web resources (roughly 1.2 MByte) on the extrnal 2MByte SPI Flash and link them to the http server via the read only filesystem.
I can access the page using a http browser but the Wi-Fi performance is questionable:
-> Accessing the main .js file (~450kByte) while the EWB is configured as client in my home network takes roughly 75 seconds. (equals 6.3 kByte per second)
-> Accessing the same file while the EWB acts as access point any my Laptop is connected to it takes even 2 minutes. (equals 4 kByte per second)
Are these numbers reasonable or is there an issure with my demo application?
I am using WICED_SECURITY_WPA2_AES_PSK and standard http (not https) server (libraries\daemons\HTTP_server) with WICED Studio 6.6. There are no other devices connected to the access point and the web browser runs on my laptop and is surely fast enough. The demo is based on /snip/http_server_sent_events example without much modifications. The make target configuration is LAIRD_EWB-FreeRTOS-LwiP-SDIO download run
Thanks,
Martin
Show LessHello.
I'm using WICED.
I configured WICED as AP with this settings in "wifi_config_dct.h" ...
#define SOFT_AP_SSID "WICED Device"
#define SOFT_AP_CHANNEL 1
#define SOFT_AP_SECURITY WICED_SECURITY_WPA2_AES_PSK
#define SOFT_AP_PASSPHRASE "12345678"
I want to know if there is a way to limit the number of connected STA to just only one Station.
Show LessIm trying to install WICED Studio, but when I click to download it from here (https://www.cypress.com/products/wiced-software), it links me to here (https://community.cypress.com/community/software-forums/wiced-wifi/wiced-wifi-documentation). However, once im taken to the community page, I get this error "The page you are trying to access was not found. Please check your URL for typos and try again."
Is it down for maintenance or am I looking in the wrong place? Anyone have a working download link?
Thanks.
Show LessThere is no download option in here, Home--Software--WICED studio--WICED studio Wi-Fi combo. How to download WICED studio? Need help.

Although ota2 files exist for platform/MCU/STM32F4xx/GCC/STM32F469, I've discovered then read on this site that there is insufficient RAM on the STM family e.g. 384K vs 640K as indicated by the diagram in WICED OTA2 pdf 2.1.2 OTA2 RAM Requirements.
The code size isn't the culprit but the loosing of 200K+ of SRAM. I tracked it down to:
WICED/platform/MCU/STM32F4xx/GCC/STM32F469/ota2_memory_with_bootloader.ld
/*SRAM (rwx) : ORIGIN = 0x20000000, LENGTH = 96K*/
SRAM (rwx) : ORIGIN = 0x20000000, LENGTH = 320K
BTLDR_SRAM (rwx) : ORIGIN = 0x2004BC00, LENGTH = 17k /* Boot loader stack at the end. */
/*BTLDR_SRAM (rwx) : ORIGIN = 0x20010000, LENGTH = 32k / * Boot loader stack at the end. */
Thanks!
