Smart Bluetooth Forum Discussions
Hi All,
We need to develop 20732-based module on Linux.
Since sdk 1.1.0 doesn't support linux and
sdk 2.0.1 supports Linux but not 20732.
Is there any good idea about such situation ?
Will linux support back-port to 1.1.0 or 2.0.x support 20732 ?
Thanks,

What it the RF pin?
Hello Team

Show LessI have a problem where my connection gets hung in a strange way (see forum post Connection drops after a while -- trying to figure out how to debug ).
As part of a possible work-around I implemented a callback to trigger on the idle connection timer. This callback fires when the connection gets stuck - but I can't figure out how to do anything at that point to recover. Is there any way to quit the current connection and return to advertising? I tried turning advertisements back on, but until the connection drops it won't send them. Is there any way to reset the stack somehow to cause it to recover from the broken connection state?
Show LessHi,
can i set the parity of the peripheral uart to even? Haven't found it in the API
Hello again, as I am learning to use this chip, I've come to wonder how do I prepare for my application and chip for manufacturing. Assuming I have my application code written for the devkit; what is needed for me to be able to get that to a custom PCB and the application on the chip?
Keep in mind I am completely new to this, and I want to make sure this is a task that is viable to me. I have considered using something I'm much more comfortable with, such as a BLE module with an external ATMEL mcu, but that clearly raises the price to almost 2x of this chip.
Assume I'll be doing the PCB layout, and have access to manufacturing equipment such as a solder wave machine, CNC, pick and place, and an reflow oven.
How would I go about transferring the application I've written for the devkit, and getting it to the chips i'd be ordering to use with the pcb i've designed. Does broadcom over a solution that I can order the chips with my application already written to them? Do i have to design this in my PCB such that I can write my application to the chip?
thanks in advanced.
Show LessHello everybody, As I mentioned before, I am new to this type of programming. I've mainly programmed arduino's which is a joke compared to this chip. I am having alot of difficulties in converting my arduino code to be used with broadcom chip. For the time being what I need to do is GPIO. at the press of a button, turn on an LED, simple enough right? we'll im stuck with not being able to turn on the LED or figure out if my pins are correct.
If anyone has some time and would like to run my through the basics of this devkit and chip I would really appreciate it. We can meet online via skype or something alike.
Show LessIn the document "How-to-Write-WICED-Smart-Applications.pdf",
BLE advertisements and connection establishment is described.
I have two questions.
1. In the health-thermometer service,
I can not find where this advertisement happen before connection and bleprofile_Discoverable is written.
In the other example like hello_sensor.c, there is codes for setting advertisement parameter and bleprofie_Discoverable.
2. lesmp_regSMPResultCb
there is no description of this function.
I guess this function may register call back after Bond event happen.
I'm confused there is no advertisement yet but how bond event can be register.
hope to get answers.
Thank you.
