Hi,
I was wondering about differences between EZ-USB® FX3™ SuperSpeed Explorer Kit
and EZ-USB® FX3™ Development Kit. I realize that in SuperSpeed Explorer Kit maximum transfer rate is not so big as in the Development Kit, but are there any others limitations? Can I use all of source codes from SDK firmware? Is the ARM9 core fully accessible?

Hello,

I have a one doubt about wiring the USB3.0 to this chip. The datasheet gives one information but in one of the application notes we can find other thing. In the application notes the lines SSRX- and SSRX+ go directly from the connector to the IC but that is not the case if we look the datasheet.

I've uploaded some images to better see  the issue.

Hi,how can i get  Altium designer schematic and PCB footprint library of USB3014 chip?

I try to run this firmware image on my FX3 (CYUSB3KIT-003) dev kit

I observe the following on the FX3 serial port

Then I launch the cyusb_linux GUI tool send the following:

bType 0x40
bRequest 0xB0
which I have extracted from the cyfxusbi2cregmode.c source:

And it results in the error shown in the above. By inspecting the source code I would have expected to receive the above firmware ID?

Does this mean that synchronous transfers are broken, or have I done something wrong above?

BTW If I build cyfxusbi2cregmode.c, then generate and upload the image file I get the same result.

I'm developing the USB application with the CYUSB3KIT-003 SUPERSPEED EXPLORER KIT. I call the Suspend() function in my host software. In the host side, the Suspend() returns true, but there's no corresponding action in the device side. Would somebody explain the function or usage of the Suspend() for me?

I'm using the EX-USB FX3 SDK's SLAVE  FIFO interface to design.

I'm not sure ,if FLAGA and FLAGB can only be  used for the Slave FIFO write operation,or  FLAGA and FLAGB can also be  used for the Slave FIFO read operation. If FLAGA and FLAGB need to be configured as to indicate the availability of read operation or write operation fist?

By the way, there is a mistake in the manual's Table 1. Synchronous Slave FIIFO Interface Signals (An65974 , P3). FLAGC and FLAGD is not in the Figure 4. Synchronous Slave FIFO Write Sequence(An65974 , P7) as you described in Table 1. Synchronous Slave FIIFO Interface Signals.

19.2MHz crystal use 12pF capacity in cypress guildline.  will it lead device cannot enter into Super Speed mode  If I use 18pF  capacity? Thanks.The crystal datasheet advice is 18pF or specify.

 can somebody tell me what to do?which firmware in the sdk should i use to test whether my board can working on  3.0 speed or not,

can i see it in the control centre device descriptor info?

Hi,

I am using the  msc_example provided with the cyfx3sdk. I have commented out the GPIO interrupt part so as to make the mouse working continuously. Apparently the code works fine with Windows but the same .img does not work with the linux pc. The lsusb command shows that the fx3 getting registered as the HID device but there is no mouse pointer movement. Attached is the source code.

Line width is 6.6mil differential. line spacing are also 12.6mil impedance value is about 90 ohms.ARM-JTAG  and FPGA-JTAG  all is  normal work .And voltage is normal.Now the problem is unable to enter USB3.0 super speed mode? Does the electrical characteristics meet the identification requirements? In addition , When I downloaded cypress the slave fifo firmware example, it appeared an initialization hardware error。And I enter my firmware program is normal only in USB2.0 work normal.I have set CyU3PConennectState (CyTrue,CyTrue). Thanks.
