USB superspeed peripherals Forum Discussions
The KB article here http://www.cypress.com/knowledge-base-article/gpio-configuration-fx3#comment-418171 states that gpioComplexEn[0] and gpioComplexEn[1] must have a bitmask applied in order to be able to set up specific pins in complex mode.
However it fails to say how the bitmask bits map onto the various GPIO pins.
For example I have a GPIF2 design using 8 bit transfers. I'd like to use CTL[0] (GPIO17) as a clock. As far as I can tell, this would mean applying a bitmask of 0x20000 to gpioComplexEn[0]. However this seems to cause the FX3 to fail right from the get-go.
Does anyone have a working example and (ideally) a better explanation of these masks? Even the API documentation is extremely light on detail.

Show LessHi,
on a FX3 project i need to measure delay times with a precision higher than milliseconds.
I noted CyU3PGetTime() function, but it returns milliseconds timeticks.
Is there any way to get thinner timeticks? I mean at least hundreds of microseconds or less?
Thanks.
we got dark screen on win10, tried different ways no solution yet. With the same UVC describ, we can get the correct video on linux system(Ubuntu 16.04, by using guvcview), does anyone encounter the same issue? thanks
Show LessThere is a difference in data transfer performance description between GPIF II and USB in the data sheet. In the Japanese version and the Chinese version there is a description of 320 MB / s, but in the English version it is described as 375 MB / s. Which of the performance values is right?
Show LessHi,
In my application, I need to reconfigure the IO matrix on the fly when switching from an alternate setting to another. While I know this is possible and manage to get it working, I always make sure that it occurs after all the IO interfaces have been deinitialized. However, I am now require to maintain the GPIO state across these reconfigurations of IO matrix. Note that my GPIO configuration does not change across reconfigurations. So I post here to know whether there is a problem to keep the GPIO interface initialized across reconfiguration, i.e. not to call CyU3PGpioDeInit() before the reconfiguration. I am only speaking of "simple" GPIOs (no PWM, etc.).
Thank you!

Show LessRemote sensing image data requires real-time and correct, when I use USB3014 + fpga slave FIFO mode bulk transmission, the acquisition speed is set at 50MB per second, but due to the elimination a large number of redundant data of each frame after the image . That causes no data can be collected by USB in a certain time, meanwhile, USB also can not work and I don't know why .How can we reduce the speed of USB acquisition or is there better way to make USB match the data rate of image data?
Show LessHi,
I am working on a project with FX3 trying to obtain live video at 240 fps with resolution 640 x 120 using image sensor MT9V034.
I have checked the bandwidth of FX3 (5Gbps), UVC (128Mbps for USB3.0) and the image sensor (27Mbps) and they all support the frame rates at this resolution (640 x 120 x 1 x 240 = 18.43Mbps since the sensor output is monochrome).
I am wondering does this mean the whole system can work properly at 240 fps?
Best,
Eric
Show LessHi
Is there any way to raise the voltage level of TX +, TX- of USB3.0?
I want to raise LEVEL using hardware and software.
The current LEVEL is 0.25V and the LEVEL you want to raise is 0.3V.
Thanks
Show LessWe are using the Cypress FX3 USB 3.0 driver with our scanner hardware. We are experiencing slow performance in Windows 10 in a virtualized, VMWare, environment. Is this a known issue? Thank you.
Show LessHi,
I need to transplant one of my project from LPC18xx to cypress fx3 super speed. On LPC18xx, my img size is only <56k.
After changing necessary functions, I made it work on FX3, but the total size is >250k.
If look at the simplest boot loader example that FX3 provided, it's already around 200k. Why is the img so big on FX3? What extra materials are included in FX3 img compared with LPC18xx?
Could anybody tell me how to reduce the unnecessary files/modules from FX3 to make it as small as my LPC18xx img?
Thank you very much.
