USB superspeed peripherals Forum Discussions
Hello,
I have been trying to run the sample program AN65974 on Virtex-5 board in Stream in Mode. unfortunately, it does not work correctly ,unless PKTEND pin is toggled, while it is mentioned in related documents that PKTEND is to be '1' in Stream In Mode. Actually, if PKTEND is not toggled, FLAGB remains '0' and no data is transmitted.
Could you please help me to solve this problem?
Regards,
Hani
Show LessHi Folks,
I am working with FX3S USB 3.0 controller.
In design FPGA is the master FX3S is slave.
I am using FPGAmaster Verilog code is provided by cypress and I created a block in Vivado .
providing 27MHz input clock to FPGAmaster block and output also 27MHZ clock from FPGAmaster block.
Here, my question will be.
What is expected latency from FPGAmaster block?
Please suggest me regarding this.
Thanks and Best Regards

I have a peripheral device that uses Cypress CX3 as bridge IC, and we are performing EMC tests for submittal. We need to know the highest clock frequency used in CX3, since it supports USB3.1 Gen1 at 5Gbps, I assume it has a clock running at 2.5GHz or 5GHz inside the USB3 PHY. It makes a big difference between 2.5GHz and 5GHz, because FCC standards calls for 5 times the highest frequency used, and not many chambers are capable of 25GHz.
Please let me know the highest clock used inside CX3, so I can plan my test chamber and test limit correctly.
Thank you.
Show LessDear Sir,
I had successfully customize CX3 UVC demo for my new sensor, and I plan to upgrade its payload to faster fx3 by adding a FPGA bridge which convert mipi-csi2 to AN75779 referred.
I download AN75779 demo code , and compare it with cx3 uvc demo code, it is very confused why these two uvc demo have a lot of difference their codes. for example, a standalone EP0 thread is created for dealing with UVC setup command in AN75779.
We know CX3 is a special case of AN75779 ,which a csi2 to parallel chip is embedded and only 24 bit bus width(max) is supported, compared with fx3, it can support 32bit bus width.
Does Cypress plan to merge these two uvc codes into one UVC demo?
Thanks!
David
Show LessMy sensor interface supports 12-bit pixel output. Is it possible to get all 12-bit data through GPIF and send them as 16-bit pixels (zero padded) over YUV format?
What I would like to do is this:
Each line has n 16-bit pixels.
n/2 low 8 bits are placed to Y plane.
n/4 high 8 bits are placed to U plane.
n/4 high 8 bits are placed to V plane.
It does not matter that incoming frames are properly visualized at first. After receving frames in this form, I would like to do pixel manipulations and cast this image to 16-bit raw frame maybe in OpenCV?
Show LessHi All,
I'm developing host side application using Bulk Streams (using an XHCI Intel controller, and also others for the host side). I would like to use the FX3 board for the device side.
I tried to run the USB 3 bulk streaming example (USBBulkStreams), but faced several difficulties:
In the USB control center application pressing transfer data for either bulk in or out results in error code 997.
BULK OUT transfer
BULK OUT transfer failed with Error Code:997BULK IN transfer
BULK IN transfer failed with Error Code:997
What is this error?
How can I overcome it?
How did you test this firmware application on the PC?
Thanks!
Show LessHello.
I want to create a periodically called function myFunc() with period 1000 ms in CX3 code.
Analogue timer interrupt. Tell me, how do I do this?
If possible, then more, I'm new to Cypress microcontrollers
