Hello
Q1) Please tell me the kind of OSS included in the FX3 SDK( with GPIF-Ⅱ).
Q2) I need to understand license contents and notes on customer's use according to various OSS files.
Is it possible to share the details document on this.

Dear all,
I never worked with the FX3 and I'm right now designing a data acquisition system which shall output 32bit of data at 100MHz but some of the logic behind the GPIF II port is still foggy for me.
Key aspects:
- The acquisition system has its own clock and can provide it to the PCLK pin as an input into the FX3
- It also provides the 32 bit parallel data to be sent to the host PC (I just need it to be sent as it is to the host pc)
- The device generating the data is an ADC and no buffering capability is available outside the FX3
- I cannot lose ADC samples
I'm looking into the "Stream IN" mode which seams to be the most appropriate for this application (correct me if I'm wrong). This is described in page 45 of "Designing with the EZ-USB® FX3™ Slave FIFO Interface"
My question:
I would like to have the ADC clock running freely, and when requested by software have the FX3 to start capturing samples at the rising edge of PCLK continuously for, let's say, 1000 ms . Do I still have to manage the PKTEND# ; SLOE# ; SLRD#; SLCS#; SLWR#; A[1:0] signals by hardware or is it possible to do everything in software ??
In other words, I would like that my interface with the FX3 is just PCLK and 32 Bit Data. Is that possible?
Thanks in advance,
Mario
Show LessHello,
I am interested in hooking up two synced camera modules to an FX3 -> USB 3.0.
In a nutshell, I need to combine the two 16 bit intensity images into one image- so that each pixel is 32 bits, and transfer back as a single image. I need to do this at 60fps, 1280x720. I believe this falls within the bandwidth restrictions of USB 3.
I believe the camera modules will be CSI-2 MIPI, two lanes for each camera.

Which development kits will allow me to tackle this task?
Thank you!

Show LessHi,all
I use API function CyU3PConnectState(CyFalse,CyFalse) to disable the USB connection, and then use CyU3PConnectState(CyTrue,CyTrue) to restore the connection, but it doesn't work. When I use CyU3PConnectState(CyTrue,CyFalse) to restore the connection, it works. This is why?

Show LessHi,
I have used CYUSB3012-BZXC part in one of my design.
I am calculating maximum junction temperature of this IC according to power dissipation of this IC.
To calculate junction temperature, i need RθJA but i am not able to see this parameter in datasheet.
Can you please help me to calculate junction temperature of "CYUSB3012-BZXC"?
Show LessHi all,
We are trying to release a USB device that uses the Cypress FX3 component for Windows 10. In order add our company vendor id and our own product id we have rebuilt the driver, and are now trying to get it signed by Microsoft.
In order to get it signed, it needs to pass a series of tests using Windowd Hardware Lab Kit. One of these tests (USB-IF Certification Validation Test) tries to verify USB-IF compliance. This tests requires a USB-IF Test ID.
I'd think the FX3 is already USB-IF compliant and by extension so is our product. Can we use the FX3 USB-IF Test ID, and if so, where can I find this id?
Or are we required to obtain our own ID by following the compliance program?

Show LessHi,
I designed firmware and programmed the device.
Win7 can identify it as my design name, and device(my firmware has been programmed already ) can be installed the driver.
W10 identify it as UNKNOWN DEVICE, I can't install the driver. In W10 , the VID & PID always be correct.
When FX3 boots without any firmware , it will be identified as "Cypress WestBridge " in W10 if it has no driver, and it can be installed the defualt CY W10 driver successful.
So, the problem must be in firmware , but I have no idea about this.
How can I solve the problem ?
Best regards.
Show LessHi all,
I am a Beginner of the CX3.
I would like to implement USB Camera by referring to Denebola RDK. (Connection with smartphone)
If you look at the E-Con Systmems homepage, you can see the supported OS list as below.
- Windows 10
- Windows 8
- Windows 7
- Linux
(Cypress EZ-USB® CX3 camera reference design kit (RDK))
I want to know if the SW supports Android.
Or is there a history of working with Android based on the SW provided by E-Con Systems?
I am grateful for all the relevant answers.
Thanks.
Show LessHi,
So I'm currently working on a program that will build the FX3, IMG file after being given the path of the folder containing the source code files. However I'm struggling to understand the calls I make, to compile and build the project. Ideally I would be able to use the "CMake" or "Make" functions from the command line, then just run this through my C# program.
Kind Regards
