I am using multiple FX3 devices at max speeds (~400MB) to transfer data to a PC. Since FX3 is still USB3.0 Gen1, can I add a USB3.0 Gen2 HUB with 2 USB3.0 Gen1 inputs to get 800MB to my PC? Can I use the Cypress USB3.0 Gen2 HUB chip to do this?
Thx.

Hello Mike,
Sorry I misread the required rate as 800 Mbps. Please check HX3PD, our Gen 2 hub which ideally provides a bandwidth of around 10 Gbps.
Best Regards.

Hello,
Yes, you can use a USB 3.0 Gen2 hub as it will give a high bandwidth of 10 Gbps. Since our USB 3.0 Gen1 hub HX3 gives a bandwidth of around 5 Gbps, you can use it as well if you need a maximum bandwidth of 800 Mbps.
Best Regards,

Sananya,
Thanks for the quick reply. My applicaiton is 800MBps, not 800Mbps, so I'll need 6.4Gbps minimum to run. That is too fast for Gen1 hub. Do you have a Gen2 hub chipset that I can integrate into a design?
