USB low-full-high speed peripherals Forum Discussions
Hi All,
This thread is regarding SPI interface of CY7265211 (USB to SPI Bridge). As per the datasheet of this part (CY7C65211/CY7C65211-A, USB-Serial Single-Channel (UART/I2C/SPI) Bridge with CapSense® and BCD (cypress.com)), this part supports standard SPI interface with following pins:
SCLK, Chip Select, Data Out, Data IN
Please let me know if we can configure this part in Quad SPI master mode with following pins:
SCLK, Chip Select, IO0 (MOSI), IO1 (MISO) and two other GPIO lines configured as data lines (IO2 and IO3) to connect with SPI Config Flash. We are planning to use SPI Flash from Cypress/Infineon (Part Number: S25FL128SAGNFI001).
Please help in providing the information ASAP.
Thanks & Regards,
Sunny Watts

Hi all,
I have a following problem:
I am using FPGA Spartan 6-cy7c68013a interface. Master FPGA sends the data from 1st to 2048th byte to EP6 (Bulk transfer, slave FIFO, 2048 bytes depth). I wrote a program on Visual Studio that requests the data from cypress EZ-USB device's FIFO.
The problem is that most of the times data packet is right:
1-2-3-4-5-6-7.....-2047-2048.
However, sometimes the format of the packet is wrong, parts of packet are swapped:
430-431-432-.....-2047-2048-1-2-3...428-429.
And the begging data is always random: it can be 430, 110 or anything. But, the cycle is always complete and all the set of data values (from 1 to 1024) is transferred.
What can be the problem? Can anyone help to resolve it?
Show LessHi Friends,
I am interested in programming CY7C68013A using Raspberry Pi OR Ubuntu (Linux).
Can someone please point me to any documentation / instructions available to do this?
Thanking you in advance.

Show Lesshi,
New to Fx2. How the FX2 native vendor command 0xA0 works and where is it stored?. How is it invoked?. what is the I2C address of the (small) eeprom that stores the VidPid?.
Show LessI'm trying to replicate the old NX2LP CY4618 RDK setup, but using the more modern FX2LP (specifically on the CY3684 DVK board). For those unfamiliar, the CY4618 RDK has the NX2LP serve as the USB-to-NAND controller and acts as a Mass Storage Class device.
I've seen other posts saying that the NX2LP-Flex firmware (CY3686) will indeed work on the FX2LP. Since the NX2LP-Flex DVK is no longer available, I need to make this work without that nice extension board. So I have a TSOP-48 adapter that I am putting a S34ML16G3 into. I don't have a real schematic, but I attached a basic connection diagram. I know using the TP7 isn't ideal, but I'm just trying to prototype a basic design at the moment. Using the CY3684 docs, the S34ML16G3 datasheet, the FX2LP datasheet and the EZ-USB TRM it really looks like this should be possible.
My current problem is that the NX2LP Programming Utility is recognizing the attached NX2LP-Flex (actually the CY3684 w/ CY3686 firmware), but must not be detecting the attached flash chip. According to the docs, I should be seeing a pop-up that prompts me to "Add a New Part" where I enter the information about the NAND device. I have the green status at the bottom confirming that there is some form of connection, but the flash just doesn't seem to be detecting.
Any help would be appreciated! If anyone else has gotten this working, I'd be interested to hear about it. Or if someone has a better way to get a USB-to-NAND controller acting as a Mass Storage Device, that would be helpful too! Seems like the FX2LP DVK is the easiest way now that the NX2LP-related stuff is obsolete.
Show LessHi, I need to know few details for the part CY7C65215A-32LTXI.
1.Current status of the part.
2.If active, then how long it will be supported?
3.Is there any plan for EOL for this part?
4.Can you provide me ROHS document for this part?
Consider this as priority and respond me as soon as possible.
Show LessHi,
I am using CY3689 DK for displaying video / image on VLC or MPC-HC player.
I have taken "https://community.cypress.com/t5/Knowledge-Base-Articles/USB2-0-Camera-Interface-Using-FX2LP-and-Lattice-CrossLink-FPGA/ta-p/248972" example as a reference. Changed endpoint buffers in Slave FIFO implementation part of example code. But I am not seeing any display on VLC or MPC-HC player.
I am also trying to analyze Wireshark packet but not able to do so. Please help to suggest what might be wrong here.
I will attach here the Wireshark capture data for your reference.
Hi,
I have connected the CYUSBS234 with my PC. I didn't see the "Cypress usb console windows driver" and "USB serial port(COM4)", only have the "USB-SERIAL(SINGLE CHANNEL)Vendor 1" and "USB-SERIAL(SINGLE CHANNEL)Vendor MFG".
I have installed " Cypress USB-serial Driver" and "cyusb3" and "cyusbserial". And I didn't see the win10 driver in the bin folder.
I'm using Win10。
Thanks,
Show LessHi,
I would like to know if there is a standard firmware with both I2C , GPIF interface and configuration utility available for EZ-USB® FX2LP CY7C68013A controller.
We have used USB-Serial Bridge CY7C65215A controller. It is much simpler to develop application with CY7C65215A by just configuring settings with the help of USB-Serial Configuration Utility.
I would like to know if we can have similar functionality available with EZ-USB® FX2LP CY7C68013A chip.
Show LessThe Crystal requirements for the FX2LP are clearly stated in the datasheet and several article on the community support site.
• 24 MHz +/- 100 ppm
• Parallel resonant
• Fundamental mode
• 500 μW drive level
• 12 pF (5% tolerance) load ca
Does Cypress have any recommendations for using a current limiting resistor to reduce the 500uW drive level requirement?
