USB EZ-PD™ Type-C Forum Discussions

Hi All, 

I want to make a Type-C to eDP monitor dongle, reference to 3120 type-c to dp dongle.  

With connected SBU1/2 into IC and AUXp/n out to eDP monitor,  my PC can not recognizing any monitor. So I connected the SUB1/2 to eDP monitor AUXp/n directly, then my PC can recognizing a 4K"wired link monitor", but my eDP monitor show "blank screen". It's a 15.6" eDP 4K monitor, the back light is OK.

Any and all suggestions would be most appreciated, thanks.

Q1)  Which type-C signal line is best to use and how to operate #1 and #2 above?
Q2) Is it possible to get only audio (analog signal) from type-c (video / audio)? What kind of method is it?
Q3) How can I convert audio (analog signal) to type-c (audio)?
Q4) Is there a way to get only audio (analog signal) from HDMI (video / audio)?

Does CYPD4236 Example have I2C_Write() but no I2C Read.

If I also need to use I2C Read, is there a reference example that I can use?

Are there any updates to the CCG3PA stack so that the device can be updated via UART or I2C?

it's ok to flash it once via SWD, but on the field we can't rely on SWD nor CC to upgrade the firmware.

After update EZ-PD™ Protocol Analyzer Utility (USB PD3.0),  EZ-PD™ Analyzer Utility (USB PD2.0) cannot detect.
Most PD vendor accept (USB PD2.0) *.ccgx but reject *.ccgx3 file format.
Could you help provide PD2.0 FW to solve this probrom?
