USB EZ-PD™ Type-C Forum Discussions
I am using EZ-PD Analyzer Utility Version 1.0.0.084 and although Windows recognizes the Cy4500 device, the application does not. This devices was working previously but stopped working recently. I have other CY4500 devices that have done the same. LED1 on the device flashes white when plugged in. I am unable to try reflashing the device because it is not recognized by the application. Is there another way to reprogram the device? Device sticker says 121-60321-01 Rev 09 2021CN00074. Thanks.

My company is designing our own version of the CY4531 EVK. We will use the same CY7C65215 chip as the USB-to-I2C bridge to program the CCG3 chip. I assume the CY7C65215 needs a particular firmware loaded to support the CCG3, but I can't find any information about that the in EVK design documents. I also can't find any information on how to load the CY7C65215 with firmware. I don't have much experience with Cypress micros, so any information would be helpful.
Show LessTo whom it may concerned ,
a CCG2 is emplyed on our USB4 Gen3 cable product which undergoes the compliance test w/ 3 items failed —
1)Ra is out of 800 Ohm ~ 1.2K Ohm ( 3 pcs tested and 1/3 ok w/ Vconn @423 mV ,and 2 out of 3 NG w/ Vconn = 402 mV )
2) PD3 modes - checking SVIDs ( The UUT shall return a number of SVIDs in between 1 and 1, actual 2 (TEST.PD.VDM.CBL.1#3)
3)Checking Headers (Message ID 0): Manufacturer String shall be null terminated (COMMON.CHECK.PD.10#1 x 1)
Kindly advise the countermeasure of the above 3 issues.
f.y.i. 1)NG test report 2)SVID on VIF 3)SVIDs setting on CCG2 are on the attached photos。
Thank you and best Regards,

Base on KBA231336 https://community.infineon.com/t5/Knowledge-Base-Articles/EZ-PD-Barrel-connector-replacement-BCR-FAQs-KBA231336/ta-p/289954
But we can not find any information about CYPD3176 & CYPD3178 on web.
Please kindly share datasheet, HPI Spec. , UFP SDK etc.
Current we want use CYPD3176 to support PPS sink application.
Show LessHi Cypress,
I now use CYPD4226 & CYPD4236.
In some situations, I want to turn the device into an only USB device without PD.
Can I use API or HPI to close PD communication, but Rd is still Pull Down?
Thanks!
Show LessHi all,
We used the CYPD4226-40LQXIT before on another project that for USB-C PD with 100W max and it is working fine. For this new design I tried to use the same PD circuit to two USB-C ports but due to the input power limitation we could only have one USB-C port with full PD function (100W max) and another USB-C port with 5V @ 1.5A output only. Can the CYPD4226-40LQXIT can program to output only 5V @ 1.5A max even the connected target device support full range?
Thanks

1. PMG1-S3에서 140W(28V5A)를 사용하여 선택하는 것이 우선입니까?

Show LessHello
About CY4533, It refers to the file 610-60538-01_CY4533_BCR_EVK_LAYOUT_FABRICATION_DRAWING.pdf.
There are two questions about the pad directly under the part.
Q1) When I read the Gerber, there are electrodes (Φ10.0mil x 3) directly under the parts. Is this specified for the number of VIAs? The question is on page 2/13, which is the part surrounded by the red line in the following VIA.png.
Q2) Is there a specification for the bonding ratio with the electrodes and the solder opening ratio for the square pad directly under the part? The question is on page 10/13, which is the part surrounded by the red line in the following PAD.png.
