PSoC™ Creator & Designer Forum Discussions
Hi,
We are using PSoC Creator 4.2 in the development of PSoC4S+.
I found an event that I thought was probably a bug.
The clock component has the following description.
However, it remains white when connected to analog and digital components.
You can build normally, and the color remains white even after building.
I confirmed it in other PSoC4 series, but it was the same.
PSoC5LP changes the clock color normally.
please confirm.

Show LessI can not seem to register PSoc creator 4.2 due to our company Proxy server settings. I continue to get
"Network or registration server error"
I know PSoc creator works fine but having the nag screen to register every time I launch the program is annoying. Is there a registry key I can change to prevent this window from being displayed on startup?
Show LessLIN component version:5.0
line 4411 at LINS.c(LINS is component name)
While length is 256,the first frame is:
0x3C : 0x21 0x11 0x00 xx xx xx xx xx
so frame[LINS_PDU_LEN_IDX] is equel to 0.
then it while jump to else which means invalid length
Show LessIs there a way or could we get this implemented in psoc creator in the near future?
i.e.
- export a .csv with the current pin-configuration [name, pin/port, ..]
- import back a .csv with an updated pin map
Ultimately this operation should be scriptable / being able to run it as a command line utility completely detached from psoc-creator.
I'd also like to request the peripheral & pin-map source information to be available for all cpu's in a .csv or .yaml format.
that is, the same info that is shown in the "Pins view" in psoc creator, showing if a peripheral can be assigned to a certain pin.
This would greatly improve the workflow as we could write our own utility scripts.
Working with for example Altium, you have a very smart workflow to enable optimal pin-mapping vs layout, see this link:

Show LessHi Cypress Dev-Team,
I'd like to (again) request a feature that I would find very useful: "Uses" Connections in PSoC Creator's Schematic Editor. See attached Screenshot.
The Idea is simple:
Let's imagine a "Uses" port called "Comm" on some component, like Bootloader in the example, which can be connected to some other component. In the example, it is connected to an "USBFS" component instance. This simply causes the Component API Customizer to replace all `$Comm` strings in the Bootloader API by the instance name of the connected component, "USBFS".
That's all! Simple, but pretty, isn't it?
Of course, this is already possible by using component parameters (like "ioComponent" parameter of the Bootloader component), but I believe that a visible representation in the Schematic Editor would significantly increase usability!
Thank you for your ongoing effort on this great software!

Show LessHello,
I use miniprog3 to debug and program my board with CY8C4024LQI-S411.
I put a 10k pull up resistor on XRES pin of mcu, use PSOC creator 4.2 and PSOC programmer 3.28 under WIN7 32bit.
When set miniporg3 by 3.3V,SWD,5p, Reset, it can debug and program very well, but I changed to 5V, it can not find the device at all, even I try to set External item and power it by external supply of +5V.
Due to the design has to use +5V power supply, any suggestion about the issue?

Chris
Show LessHi Cypress Team,
there is a small syntax error in the Verilog module of GlitchFilter_v2_0. It is triggered when signal width >1 and "Bypass filter at Logic on/zero" is selected.
Attached patch will fix this.
Thank you.
Show LessHello,
I work with mixed analog/digital circuits that sometimes operate on hundreds of volts.
Furthermore, the mini programmer can introduce ground loops between my PC and my circuits in development.
For my own safety, I require the use of an isolated USB hub.
I have always had issues using the PSoC MiniProg3 with isolated USB hubs (I have two of different brands). The debugger always crashes with the message below.
I have to power cycle the programmer to re-establish control.
Is there any fix for this issue? I do not feel comfortable connecting my electronics under test directly to my expensive ($3000.00) workbench PC. Below are the settings.
Thanks,
Ben
Show LessFor a current project i am looking to modify the latest KitProg Frimware but can only find Version 2.03 from 2013.
Any change you can release the latest version?
Thank you!

Hi
I've just moved from a slow 32 bit Windows 10 system to a faster 64 bit system. I have installed PSoC Designer 5.4 in XP-SP3 compatibility mode, but the build does not take place.
I get this message:
