PSoC™ Creator & Designer Forum Discussions
I have several older versions of PSOC creator installed but I am confused about how the different versions are listed in Windows 10. For example, see attached jpg, where there are multiple bootloader host applications but no way of knowing which version without running them.
Question is two-fold:
1) Is there anyway to distinguish between versions before running them?
2) Is it possible to remove all previous versions and just have the latest version- what's the easiest way to do this?
thanks in advance..
Show LessHi to everyone
I'm looking for a FOC motor control using PSOC 6.
I've using CY8CKIT-042 kit and the CY8CKIT-062-BLE board.
The problem is that when i'm using the FOC sensorless example, changing the pins (that are designed using PSOC 42 pioneer kit) to CY8CKIT-062-BLE pins (thinking on arduino compatible pin), i have an error (Unable to place component "\Opamp_B:cy_mxs40_opamp\". Either the design is bigger than this chip can handle, or the design is over-constrained and there are not enough resources to satisfy the constraints.)
I have tried many pin configurations, but they all cause problems and the code does not compile. Also i'm changed the code to compatibility with PSOC 6. Can you help me with that?
Here is my code
Show LessTrying to use assign pins 4_0, 4_1, 4_2 to pins and pin wizard will not show them as a selection
offering, yet they are shown on package and in user manual and on schematic.
They are not called out in any other schematic component.
What am I missing here. Part on Pioneer board is CY8C4245AXI-483

Show LessI have a bunch o' MiniProg3 programmers that were attached with Velcro to ATE hardware. When removed the label on the back of the MiniProg3 adhered to the Velcro, not to the programmer.
How can I tell which of these are rev B and which are rev C MiniProgs when there's no label on the back?
Is there a way to tell revision by looking in the Windows 10 registry when the programmer is connected via USB? Is there a better/easier way?
Also, a RFE (request for enhancement) to PsOC Programmer: ADD DISPLAYING PROGRAMMER REVISION.
Show LessMore a question of curiosity and personal education: Why does the first (5th, 9th, etc..) Shift Register placed on a schematic consume 2 Status Cells? I had assumed up to this point that Status Cells == Status Registers, but there is obviously more to it than that.
TIA,
-Terry
Show LessHi,
Any plans to open source Kitprog3 and the host side for the neat usb-bridges for uart/i2c etc. (preferably as a libusb based python lib).
Thx
Show LessHi,
I started working with PSOC 6 in creator 4.4. The problem is that no matter what program I want to build, even a program from the examples, I get the same error:
"An internal error occurred in the fitter: (System.UnauthorizedAccessException: Access to the path 'C: \ Users \ dvirs \ Documents \ PSoC Creator \ 4.4 \ Examples \ Design01.cydsn \ codegentemp \ bitstream.txt' is denied.)"
"Unable to open the file for writing. Access to the path 'C: \ Users \ dvirs \ Documents \ PSoC Creator \ 4.4 \ Examples \ Design01.cydsn \ codegentemp \ warp_dependencies.txt' is denied."
I saw the answer received at Missing files but that did not solve my problem.
Anyone have the solution?
Thanks,
Dvir
Show LessHi -
:
This (now locked) thread: Access crypto_core (ECC) from PSoC Creator says
I have passed the query to the internal software team to make the Crypto Core APIs available as part of the PSoC Creator PDL releases. Thank you for your interest in Cypress Products.
Regards,
Dheeraj
Are there any updates on this? I want to do some Crypto operations (like SHA) in "chunks" (not as one block), and the only way to do that seems to be via the Direct Crypto Core API, which isn't available in PSoC Creator's PDL.
Thanks.
Show LessJust recently changed to PSoc Creator 4.4 and added a new function EEPROM_Save_R_Data(&test);
now get Build fail message ......./main.c:226: undefined reference to `EEPROM_Save_R_Data'
The IDE knows it exists. That is Intellisense reacts to it and also "Go to Definition" and "Go to Declaration" work as expected.
So, what have I inadvertently done or not done?

Show LessHi,
We're using the PC Bootloader Host application to program a PSoC5 design via UART/RS232. We regularly find that any of the ports detected that we select to use are unavailable showing "Access is denied" when nothing else is connected to them - in particular the USB serial ports we use. The MiniProg ports also show access denied but that may be due to that fact that we have also use them to program to two PSoCs in the system.
The only way to get it back is to reboot the PC (Windows 10 Laptop) and then it will work for an indeterminate time.
Anybody else had the same issue and any ideas how to get around it?
Many thanks
