PSoC™ Creator & Designer Forum Discussions
Hi,
is it possible to detect if a given component is present and to retrieve it's informations?
For example, the Bootloadable and Bootloader components seem to be able to detect if their counterpart is already present in a design. But I don't know if they check the project type or if it's possible to check if a component of a given type is present.

Ralf
Show LessHi,

CY8C4014LQI-422, CY8C4014LQI-SLT1, and CY8C4014LQI-SLT2.
any technical data, datasheets etc. available?

Show LessHi,
If all others fails => read the Datasheet carefully.
The SW_Tx_UART supports PSoC 3, PSoC 4 and PSoC 5LP.
Small notice on the page 7 of the SW_Tx_UART Version 1.10 Datasheet
.... is IMPORTANT ....
"Software Transmit UART component requires to have Instruction Cache to be enabled for PSoC 3 and PSoC 5LP. This could be done in PSoC Creator project Design-Wide Resources editor on the System tab. By default, this option is enabled".
If the Instruction Cache is disabled the SW_Tx_UART works but erroneously.
Behaviour - using 115200 Baudrate and 24MHz BusClock same number of characters transmitted, but all characters NONREPRODUCIBLE - RANDOMLY substituted.
NO WARNING in PSoC Creator 3.0 compilation/linking, NO USABLE INFORMATION from the logic analyzer.
May be this helps.

Viktor
Hi,
I am trying to learn the datapath, verilog and the configuration tool.
I can't work out how to get an input to the ALU from the parrallel in routed fabric. According to the PSoC 5 TRM, fig 23-6 (p.154) and fig 23-25 (p170) there is a way to source the A input to the ALU from the parallel input routing. I've enabled CFB EN in the CFGRAM, and then selected PI SEL to PIN (register CFG15-14). What I can't work out is I never see PI in the drop down for SRCA in the CFGRAM section. Do I have to manually change it in the verilog file? I have not been able to guess what the value is (e.g. `CS_SRCA_A0 is obviously A0).
Thanks in advance.
Show LessRobert, I am trying to redeem rewards points for wireless DVKs, and have not
made much progress. The following are the people I have tried to get results
from, an email thread....
Robert, I went to redeem my points for a wireless DVK and ran into the problem it is not
in the “store”. I asked Dave Van Ess if he could do something about this, but I think he has
run into a brick wall.
I want to do some wireless work, and a possible end product. What I need are –
1 - CY3271 PSoC® FirstTouch™ Starter Kit with CYFi™ Low-Power RF
1 - CY3271-RFBOARD to get additional nodes.
I have the points available to buy them, but apparently if it is not in the store its in
No mans land to redeeming point.
I am currently your top poster, and have 4561 points to redeem.
Regards, Dana.

Dave, if OK with you I might try Robert Teufel [rtcy@cypress.com] as he is running the
site rewards program (or so I think) and might be able to do something about this.
Let me know if that’s OK with you, get the monkey off your back, I know you have so
much more to do than expedite kit problems.
Regards, Dana.

Dave, you have the power. I am a top poster (that means I give people vacuous solutions) on your
forums.
I have rewards points, and want to experience the “rush” of Cypress Wireless, but am spurned by
interlocutors who do not understand the genius of slow people like me.
I want to build a 4 – 6 node wireless net with PSOC for property monitoring. Not especially exciting,
but one goal is to look at the bending moment of trees as wind speed and direction sensors. Sounds
really big, I have many of these projects in basement, but I want to at least look at the data.
Help, the corporate asset allocators are limiting me to stuff I do not need. Like fashion accessories.
Dave, I am as close to a fashion statement as a tick is to mating with an elephant. I AM an EE for gods
sake !
I asked if I could redeem points for –
1 - CY3271 PSoC® FirstTouch™ Starter Kit with CYFi™ Low-Power RF
1 - CY3271-RFBOARD to get additional nodes.
Am I not worthy ?
Regards, Dana.

Please let me know if you have any questions.
Thanks,

Can I redeem points for wireless kits ?
Show LessI just worked on a forum program for a PSOC 5LP part, that had the
following declaration in it (as a local to main() )-
int16 sinresult[19200],cosresult[19200];
That computes to more SRAM than in part. Program compiled and reported
Flash used: 22352 of 262144 bytes (8.5 %).
SRAM used: 20965 of 65536 bytes (32.0 %).
Looks like PSOC manufactures SRAM at runtime
So how does user know he has a real workable code base ?
