I am trying to get som random numbers from the PRS hardware.
But I get the same number every time.
How du I get different numbers ?
Ran1=PRS_Read();
Ran2=PRS_Read();
Ran3=PRS_Read();
Ran4=PRS_Read();
Ran5=PRS_Read()*256;
There is no PRS_Step() finction in Psoc_creator 4.4 as I can see.

Show LessThis is a continuation of this thread: http://www.cypros.org/?app=forum&id=0&rID=89110 I was able to find an alternative means to work around the problem, but I have again run into this issue. I've tried all the suggestions in the thread, and nothing has worked. There seems to be confusion that I am getting faulty values... that isn't the issue. The issue is when using the ADC to read values after calling ADC_SelectConfiguration(), no values are returned *at all*. It actually gets caught up in the ADC_IsEndConversion(uint8 retMode) function in the ADC.c file. The ADC_DEC_SR_REG register never gets set to 1, and so, the function blocks until I quit the program. It works fine if I never call SelectConfiguration.
Can anyone help me figure out what's going on? I haven't been able to find this issue anywhere else on the forum.
Show LessHi,
I have a set of boards that use a 24MHz clock using PSOC 5LP, with bootloader, and my bootloadable application.
Due to an issue of stock, I will receive my next set of board with a 12MHz clock.
I can change the PSOC clock configuration, that's OK.
But I want my bootloadable application to work on both board. I can read an ID in the Falsh to know which board it is.
But is there a way to nicely overwrite the ClockSetup function that is called il cyfitter_cfg.c .
or to compile my version of this file instead of the one generated by cydsfit.exe ?
Show LessHi,
on my project each time I compile (without any modification in the code, or desing), the arm toolchain recompile all my file.
This is related with the fact that I have some source code in another directory :
.\common\timer.c
.\myprojet.cydsn\main.c
my objets files are in (the normal default directory)
.\myprojet.cydsn\CortexM3\ARM_GCC_541\Debug\*.o
But I cant' figure out why the dependency check is not working
I'm using PSOC Creator 4.4_b80 on windows 10, but the issue is the same with psoc creator 4.2 and 4.3
Show LessHi team,
We upgraded our PSoC Creator from 3.3 to version 4.4. We manually performed "Project-> Update components" for each PSoC we use and it was working fine in our local PSoC Creator and building successfully and everything.
However, when compiling through our build machine (through command line), we get errors like the below
1. ADD: sdb.M0052: error: Unable to find component "cy_boot_v6_10"
2. ADD: sdb.M0033: error: The instance 'EZI2C', of component SCB_P4_v3_10, contains an error. Unable to locate and customize component 'SCB_P4_v3_10' used in schematic
3. error: fit.m0050: the fitter aborted due to errors, please address all errors and rebuild.
How do we resolve these errors?

Show LessHi guys,
I'm new to PSoC. Can you help me find a suitable alternative for CY8C5867LTI-LP025/028? We badly need it in production but the present shortage in chips are making this particular part hard to find. Maybe you know an alternative that doesn't deviate much in terms of internal and external (physical) specifications of the chip.
Thanks in advance!
Show LessHello,
Today when I tried to reprogram the CCG5 device with MiniProg 4, PSoC Programmer updated Miniprog4 FW. After this update (I can't say that because of this update) I am unable to program the CCG5 and receive the following error message:
| FAILED! PSoC device is not acquired! Check connection of the chip to the programmer
However, when I try to connect to DMC, the device is acquired properly. Please help!

Slava
Show LessI'm using CY8C29666 to generate two inverted PWM signals. That worked fine.
Now I want to enable and disable that PWM block using other PWM with much lower clock, like I show in the image.
I connected the enable input of my PWMDB to the output of the other PWM, but this is not working.
Previously, I've used a Counter to feed the Clock signal to an UART, so I expected this to work. Am I missing something on this? Any information would help.
Thanks
Show LessHi all,
I am working on project using using CY7C64215. I want to program it using the Arduino Uno. I found that project :https://github.com/miracoli/arduino_hssp/blob/master/README.md
I tried for weeks to understand that code as it's modified from AN44168 project. finally, I understand some functions related to the ISSP protocol itself but still don't know how to use it. I think that it needs a desktop application as that is written in the TODO.
if anyone worked with that code before and know how to use please help.
Show LessOK, now that I have archived my project and bundled all packages into a single .ZIP file how do I restore the .zip back into a working project?, PSoC5 LP MCU
