Character LCD component for 2x12 Display

I ordered some backlit character displays to connect to the PSOC 5LP -050 kit. One is 2x16 which i was able to successfully hookup. The other is a 2x12 display from the same supplier, data sheet basically identical except for display size. Is there any reason the Character LCD component wouldn't work as is for a 2x12 display?

Are you getting some error in the interface with 2x12 display.Please mention that also

I was able to display text on the 2x16 display. The 2x12 powers on but won't display the expected text. Just remains blank. Triple checked the connections.

What is the part number of the 2X12 display?  Please post your code so we can check it.
