i am using CYBLE-022001-00 / BLE module , i want to send integer or hex value from Cysmart App and received through BLE module and vice versa.
In google store nRF_UART app is available by Nordic . Is it possible to use this app for tranmit integer data and it will receive by CYBLE-022001-00 / BLE module .
if it is possible then what i have to write in firmware code of BLE module to receive data from nRF_UART
Show LessI have 2 sensors, and oxygen sensor that communicates through uart and an accelerometer that uses i2c. Both works correctly by themselves but when I try to run them together, I can no longer read from the accelerometer. I was wondering if psoc 4 ble allows for one uart and one i2c to run at the same time. They are both scb blocks, one configured for i2c and the other for uart. I know there is a dedicated uart block but we need that for another sensor that is also using uart.
Show LessHello,
I have a big problem with PSoC Creator. I want to program my CY8CKIT-042 to be able to use it with an alphanumeric LCD, LED and switches, but I know absolutely nothing about all the creation of the project. All I want is to write a code and build it in the card, but I can't. Is there a way to only write the code without creating some project ? Also, when I want to integrate a header file, it says that the file is untraceable, is that a problem from the installation ? I hope that you will help me because I must do it before the 15 January. Thanks for reading.
Show LessHi,
I'm struggling into the next pitfall while 'exploring' PSoC 4 😉
I'm using a Pioneer kit and want to output a signal on port 3.6. The CapSense part (5-pole slider on port 1.1-1.5) is also enabled, which means that P4.2 is used as Cmod.
Now, PSoC Creator tells me that port 3.6 cannot be used when P4.2 is configured as Cmod (error: pl.M0046:E2725 P3[6] cannot be used as an output when P4[2] is used as Cmod).
I've gone through datasheet and reference manual, but I couldn't locate anything indicating that port 3 has reduced capabilities if CapSense is enabled.
So, I'm getting a bit frustrated because I've to fight with UDB & Verilog and maybe incomplete datasheets/reference manuals or a faulty implementation in PSoC Creator - but where's the error?
I connected Cmod to P4.1 to 'test' it (P4.2 is fixed function for Cmod) - interestingly, in this case Creator only throws a warning that automatic rerouting has been done, but it compiles successful.

Ralf
Show Lesshi,my company have Developde a product with CYBL10162,but i want to do CE certification test,so i want how to do it?where is the fixed frequency software?thanx for help,
Show LessHi
I have created a project where I send a variable DC value to my pioneer kit and through the BLE I notify the client, when the value is changed.
To view the notification I use the CySmart 1.0 tool, but here i can only view the "newest" value. Is there a way or another tool I can use to plot my data?
Show LessI am using a CY8CKIT-042-BLE PSoC 4 bluetooth kit, and the end goal of this objective I am trying to complete is, I want to utilize the bluetooth dongle (CYBL10162-56LQXI) as a central hub to gather ADC value from the PSoC peripheral (CY8C4247LQI-BL483). I noted that the bluetooth dongle, when using the 100 projects 100 days Day 13 Client/Server program (https://github.com/cypresssemiconductorco/PSoC-4-BLE/tree/master/100_Projects_in_100_Days/Day013_Client_Server) that depending on the commands by the dongle, it can enable/disble notifications as well s read the Tx Power level.
I want to modify it in such a way so that when the command for reading Tx power level is sent via the bluetooth dongle, that instead of getting the TX power level, it gets an ADC value from the PSoC. The PSoC itself will have its own set up of an ADC SAR SEQ which would give just an ADC value gathered, example could be temperature. But the problem is that I am unsure how to go about it. I don't know if it is a modification within the PSoC's programming, and the understanding of what the CYBLE_TPS_TX_POWER_LEVEL value would be, or if it can grab the value of an ADC input from the PSoC in some other way. Could someone point me in the right direction of how to proceed?
I noted that one of the functions within the peripheral is "CyBle_TpssSendNotification()" which in its current set up, sends the power level. can that be modified in such a way to send the adc value instead?
Went into it a bit more and found the end of sending notification has to do with the CyBle_GattsNotification() function. presuming the same cyBle_connHandle, what would need to change is the type for CYBLE_GATTS_HANDLE_VALUE_NTF_T (aka CYBLE_GATT_HANDLE_VALUE_PAIR_T), but I dont really know what type it is and it will nto let me look it up
Show Lesssoftware : Psoc Creator3.3
Sample code :BLE Heart rate sensor
Hardware :CY5671 Proc BLE Module, Mini Prog3, Heart rate sensor
I'd like to connect a pulse sensor to cy5671. A pulse sensor can output 0 and 1 digitally. I'd like to acquire bpm from its acquisition value. Where should a code be described? I want you to tell me.
Show LessGetting ready to send a design to a test house, I am trying the Cypress DTM project.
I reconfigured the pins in the project as explained in the Pioneer Kit documentation to use the inbuilt serial port on the kit, which I already use extensively for development debugging so I know it works to a terminal program on the PC.
But nothing is sent via the port to the terminal. I am aware the DTM mode is supposed to be driven by a tester but surely some kind of characters should be sent via the serial port and should be some response (even if error) when something is sent?
Show LessHi,
I'm not able to perform a write operation on a long attribute. I've added a custom service with a characteristic of attribute length 50.
I've set the GATT MTU size as 23 on windows CySmart application and also on the On-chip side(Top design/GAP settings tab).
Now when I try to write 50 bytes value (which I've read previously using the "Read Long Value"option), I immediately get an error:"Write long characteristic value failed. Request is not supported by the peripheral device".
Can you please tell me what's the problem.
Thanks & Regards,
Sharan
