Question: What is the drop in replacement for Simtek STK15C68 series of parts?
Answer: Simtek has made obsolete the following parts long ago. There may not be any drop in replacement for these parts. The nearest part suggested by Simtek is the STK12C68 series. Use of these parts requires minor changes in the layout of the application. Moreover STK12C68 series is in NRND (not recommended for new design) status. The changes to be done for choosing STK12C68 is specified in the attached app note. This may not be a drop in replacement and sometimes changes may have to be done, for those issues we strongly recommend customers to use the latest series ofCypress NVSRAMs such as the CY14E256LA and redesign their boards.
