I just bought WICED Sense 2 kit. Can I use WICED Smart IDE v2.x to download the code to it and debug it?
This kit is TAG4 type, isn't it?

Try this:
1) Press and hold "Reset"
2) Insert USB cable
3) Ensure the two usb-to-serial ports are displayed under Device_Manager\Ports
4) Release "Reset"
5) Do a CLEAN before you compile and download
I used "wiced_sense-BCM920737TAG_Q32 recover UART=COM26" on a sense_2 kit.

WICED Sense is similar to the TAG4 board.
You may want to start here: WICED Sense Table of Contents
And look at the entry that was created called
Keep in mind that all of this material was created and tested on WICED Sense 1, but it should work with WICED Sense 2 as well,

You need not pry open the casing for sense 2 although the SW1, SW2 and SW4 are on the other side of the PCB in your attached picture.
Referring to the sense_2 quick start guide below, did you try out (4) in "Setup"?
WICED SENSE 2 Quick Start Guide (BCM20737L)
The below will be helpful in locating the various switches.

yes, I did press and hold the reset, then click 'wiced_sense-BCM920737TAG_Q32 download' or 'wiced_sense-BCM920737TAG_Q32 recover UART=COM3' (enhanced serial port), but it still did not work at all.
It still shows the below error in the console
Recovering platform ...
**** Recovery failed - retry ****

And don't forget to use the below package for sense2, instead of the one in the SDK which is for sense1.
