Hi,
One of the IoT applications PSoC 6 is purpose-built for is home automation. It provides you with the internal analog resources needed to interface with analog sensors and create custom analog-front-ends. It also provides internal digital resources to interface with digital sensors or drive graphical displays, via a communication protocol or using Universal Digital Blocks (UDBs). Some sensors you can interface with PSoC 6 with minimal external components are temperature, humidity, PIR, pressure, light, and gas. In addition, with CapSense, you can create robust and reliable user interfaces, driving touch buttons/sliders, trackpads, or touchscreens. So with a single chip PSoC 6, you have the potential to interface with multiple sensors, provide BLE wireless connectivity and a robust touch user interface, and drive a graphical display! Plus the ultra-low-power needed to extend battery life for any portable devices in your home automation system.
Thanks for the question and let me know if you have other questions or need clarification.

Sorry for old answers, mistakenly posted.
Sounds great. But, you may not need that much processing power to just control ON/OFF state of devices, it is kind of overkill. But you can surely use single core offering from PSoC6 for the same application.
