Am I mistaken when I think of Broadcom for Cellular technology?
Broadcom's BCM61755's marketing information states the part's purpose is to "offload data traffic from increasingly congested 3G, 4G/LTE mobile and WiFi networks". It then describes "3G and 4G/LTE" as well as "3G TDSCDMA and WCDMA". I'm not clear if the BCM61755 is intended to intercept cellular traffic and re-route it or provide a local cellular sub-network.
I'm interested in hearing of applications where this part has been implemented and how successful it's been in offloading data traffic from cellular and WiFi services.
Unfortunately, Broadcom Ltd. Cellular Technology is not supported here on the Community website. You will want to work with you local Broadcom sales representative or one of our franchised Distributors if you are interested in learning more about this technology.
