Yes. It should be supported. It depends on which FW and which country code you are using.
I am using "
root@imx6sx_all:~# wl ver
wl0: Jul 16 2015 22:46:14 version 220.127.116.11 (r550328)"
is there any dfs command to check the status of STA passive scanning?
I used wl dfs_status it says unsupported.
I am testing in Irvine, CA. USA.
I believe the dfs and country code parameter should be in nvram.txt? But the package I got is from murata module
NXP Linux 3.14.52 GA BSP Release
which includes all the components.
Can you check that in the NVRAM the ccode is set to JP and not US?
I looked at the nvram. Can I say ccode is the country code?
# Sample NVRAM for BCM94339 WLCSP with eTR,iPA, and eLNA.
You can. It is just that not all countries have DFS enabled because the FW might be restricting the channels available to avoid conflict with DFS and so if the FW does not enable these channels at all then DFS is meaningless. muRata should be able to confirm this.
The suggestion for Japan is just because for Japan typically we always enable the DFS channels
