About CYPD3175-24LQXQ spec

I am checking the CCG3PA datasheet for CYPD3175-24LQXQ.

It is described below.

Termination Resistor = Rp.

Role = DFP

Since the datasheet is described "Role=DFP". Generaly, I am undrstanding that DFP(=Power Source and Data/Host side)

Q1) However, I am understanding that CYPD3175-24LQXQ can operate  "Power = Power Souce" and  " Data = DRD(Dual Role Data)" . Is it correct ?

Hi Arai-san,

Since CCG3PA is used for Power only applications such as Power adapters and Power banks, the role mentioned in the datasheet is based on Rp and Rd resistor terminations available in different parts. Data role will have to be swapped using DR_SWAP message after PD negotiation to enable UFP data role.

Please consider using CCG3 for Power + Data based designs.
