Hi,

When used in Individual mode, the PWR# pin is reserved for Port 1 only. This implies that the PWR# pin will be toggled only if there is an overcurrent condition on Port 1 i.e. if OVR#[1] is toggled. Even if there is an overcurrent conditions on Port 2, the PWR# pin will not be toggled by the hub and the power to that port will not get disabled. Hence, we use fuses with the OVR# pins to control each VBUS as in the DVK schematic.

Best Regards,

Sananya
