Hi,

I am following the 'Starting CYSPP Out of the Box in Peripheral Mode'  example to connect to the establish connection from the PC and send data.

Prior to following this, I only changed the name of the device.

Once I go to the 'add bluetooth devices' on windows, I see both EZ-serial and my custom name, how ever when I try to establish connection with the custom names device I am getting below events with a disconnection. Am I missing something here?

Sorry, there seems to be a misunderstanding

If you are using classic BT connection, please refer to "3.3 Cable Replacement Examples with SPP".

'Starting CYSPP Out of the Box in Peripheral Mode'  is for the BLE connection.

Thanks Owen, we are able to send and receive data only after pairing with the default bluetooth name starting "EZ-Serial", for our application we need to connect to the device with the custom name set by SDN command.

Could you please explain why we are seeing 2 broad cast names and why we are unable to pair and communicate only by the custom name?

When you set the device name, please use "SDN, T=1, N=..." to set the name for classic BT.

The command and parameters are defined in chapter 7.2.3.14.
