1DX Acces point : driver crashing

    kiFo_3714346

      Hello Everyone,

We have an issue with the 1DX module. I'll lay down what we know so far.

      The facts :

           - We are using Yocto Rocko (kernel 4.9.88) with the Murata Manda driver.

           - We have tried changing the WLAN Firmware to the latest (Feb 16 2020 22:39:24 version 7.45.98.97 (r724416 CY) FWID 01-bf41ed64) and doesn't solve the issue.

           - This module is installed on a vehicle and have normally 2-3 devices connected to it's AP.

           - We are only using the Wi-Fi no bluetooth enabled.

           - We are using band 1,6 or 11

      What we know:

      - this issue cause the module to be non functionning. you'll see below a kernel log on how the issue apear. When we see "brcmfmac: brcmf_proto_bcdc_query_dcmd: brcmf_proto_bcdc_msg failed w/status -110" we have tried to reboot the module by unloading/loading the driver, without success.

      - As soon that we cross the CAN-USA border and for the rest of the trip on US soil the module/driver crash like that.

      - We have seen this issue at the city of Cobourg, Ontario, Canada (which has a clear line-of-sight of US)

      What we have suspected

      - A particular cellular band that are used in USA but not in Canada

      - Driver issue.

      - Unkown External RF agression.

      What's Next

      - We are currently trying to build Yocto Zeus to be able to use the Gamera driver see if it solve the issue.

Do you have an idea what can cause this issue ?

      Thanks in advance
