Hello

Q1) CMG1 has a built-in 40-byte storage area for configuration. Ibut s this flash?
Q2) Also, it is considered that the memory area other than the above 40 bytes storage area does not exist in CMG1. Is it correct?

Best regards

Arai

A1. CMG1 includes 40-byte nonvolatile storage programmable over Type-C interface for storing vendor-, device-, and cable-specific configuration data.

What is your question?

A2. Correct. The storage area is only 40-bytes.

See the Logic Block Diagram in the datasheet. https://www.cypress.com/documentation/datasheets/ez-pd-cmg1-datasheet-usb-c-emca-controller
