Hello Cypress.

Attached file explains Arduino UNO board size.

A distance between pins is 9.14mm.

But this distance of CYBLE-416045-EVAL is 8.89mm.

Below is board figure of CYBLE-416045-EVAL.

(54.02 + 2.54 – 47.67 = 8.89mm)

Why is there difference in distance between pins?

When designing Arduino shied, which layout is correct? (9.14mm? 8.89mm?)

Should we design Arduino shield at a distance of 9.14mm?

The difference is caused by Cypress design. The distance of Cypress EVB is 350mil and the Arduino board is 360mil.

I think the difference will not effect the connection. We will correct our design in the following product.

Hmm.  It appears you spotted a dimensional issue.  Luckily the difference in dimensions is only 0.25mm.  In addition, the pin sets "out-of-phase" is at least 49mm apart.  Therefore you will find the shield interconnect to be forgiving.

I understand that CYBLE-416045-EVAL and Arduino shield can be connected.

However, I am asking why the difference in distance between pins occurred.

Could you please let us know why this difference occurred?
