Hello all,
The BCR CYPD3177 controller datasheet states to leave D+/D- pins unconnected.
The CYPD4533 eval board reference design has the D+/D- signals connected to the respective pins on the USB-C connector.
1) Is the CYPD3177 a USB device and what functionality does it provide?
2) Does the power delivery negotiation happen without D+/D- connected?
Thanks in advance.
- Wolfgang.

Hi Wolfgang,
D+/D- connection is for Apple charging 2.4A. If you do not want these legacy charge features, you can left it unconnected.
Regards,
Eddie
