Hello,

We are an R & D company in the Turkey.

We need information about your CY8CMBR3116.

We have created a sample diagram of proximity sensor.

Will this schema work fine?

I'm asking you to help us.

Best,

Egemen

Hello,

These are the observations which we did after reviewing your schematic.

1).If you are using a capsense button then connect 560-Ω resistor series resistor on CSx, PSx, SLDx, GUARD, and SH pins.

2).If pin no 2,3,4 are unused connect it to ground.

3).No need to pull up VCC.

4).If pins SPO/GPO are unused please follow the below table(1).

5).If the pin no 17 is unused connect it to ground

6).If pin no 18 is unused connect it to VDD

7).If pin no 19 is unused connect it to ground.

8).Series resistor on I2C lines,Connect a 330-Ω resistor in series with the SDA and SCL  lines.

9).Pull-up on I2C lines, Select an appropriate value depending on the I2C interface voltage.

                                               TABLE(1)

pastedImage_1.png

We have few queries regarding the schematic

1).Can you please let us know why pin no 10,11,12,13 are connected to series resistor?

2).Can you please let us know why pin 20 is connected to 15pF capacitor?

3).Can you please let us know why pin no 23 and 24 are connected to series resistor?

Regards

Hello Alakananda,

Thank you for your reply and help.

We just want to design a circuit that senses the hand approach.

We would like to receive a signal from the "PROX_LED" pin when there is detection

Can you please let me know, how does it look after the update?

"No need to pull up VCC."

Unfortunately I didn't understand which pin you were talking about. Can I get the pin number?

"Pull-up on I2C lines, Select an appropriate value depending on the I2C interface voltage."

If we use 3.3v voltage, what should be the resistance value?

1).Can you please let us know why pin no 10,11,12,13 are connected to series resistor?

There is no special reason, I wanted to do pull-down pins

2).Can you please let us know why pin 20 is connected to 15pF capacitor?

I found schematic for CY3280-MBR3. In the schematic there is a regulated capacitor, I added it fixed. I upload a photo for schematic

3).Can you please let us know why pin no 23 and 24 are connected to series resistor?

There is no special reason, I wanted to do pull-down pins

Best Regards

Hi,

1).Unfortunately I didn't understand which pin you were talking about. Can I get the pin number?

Pin no 6

2)"Pull-up on I2C lines, Select an appropriate value depending on the I2C interface voltage."

If we use 3.3v voltage, what should be the resistance value?

Can you please refer to the below link go to page no 57 section 7.2.4

https://www.nxp.com/docs/en/user-guide/UM10204.pdf

The specified and maximum trace length between the pin to sensor is 300mm
