Hi!

I'm using CY8C20646 and SmartSense user module.

Is it possible to deactivate parameter Sensors Autoreset for one specific sensor but using it for the others when using the SmartSense module?

And is it possible to change other settings inj source code like it is possible with CapSense e.g. something like:

     SmartSense_1_baBtnFThreshold[5] = 200;

Thanks in advance and best regads

Hi raru_1223526,

With read head and “Sensors Autoreset” enabled also everything is ok but when pressing one key for PIN input too often in a row

(e.g. 33333333 (8 times three)) the keys are not taken any more....

Can you please elaborate this issue? Can you please monitor the raw counts, baseline and difference count and share us the corresponding waveform?

Also regarding the sensor stuck issue, can you please check if the layout guidelines as mentioned in the device specific CapSense design guideline are followed strictly?

-> CapSense sensor traces not near high speed switching lines or LED traces

-> Hatch ground around the sensors

-> Proper decoupling capacitors in power lines

->  Series resistors in CapSense input lines

-> Series resistors in communication lines

-> There could be RF interference in the CapSense lines. Ferrite bead in the CapSense lines can help in preventing the RF interference to affect CapSense sensors.

-> A partition between CapSense sensors/ traces and the RF coil and also help to reduce interference.

We are not able to understand the CapSense SmartSense module you are referring. Please mention the device name you are using for CapSense application such as CY8C20xx7/S etc..

Also, it is not possible to enable / disable this feature for a specific sensor.

Hi raru_1223526,

Could you please mention the Cypress part number of the SmartSense module you are using?

In general, it is not possible to do this with SmartSense. You may have to use other PSoC 4 devices (Latest gen CapSense devices is recommended for newer designs) that is programmable.

Hi Bragadeesh,

version of user module is 1.70....

My problem seems to be the 13,56MHz antenna of reader head near the key pad (key pad consists of 24 keys).

The situation:

There is a 13,56MHz antenna for RFID near the key pad.

- Without read head everything works fine.

- With read head and “Sensors Autoreset” enabled also everything is ok but when pressing one key for PIN input too often in a row

(e.g. 33333333 (8 times three)) the keys are not taken any more....

To avoid this I disabled “Sensors Autoreset”. But now one special key sometimes gets activated (I assume by field of reader head)

without beeing pressed by a finger.

Best regards

Rainer
