Hello! We are looking for Rthjc on S29JL064J (especifically on S29JL064J60TFA000). There is not any information regarding max junction temperature, thermal resistance case to ambient or junction or any thermal data on data sheet.

I've read on AN201006a relation between Rthja and thermal characterization parameter from top surface of the package-to-air. However, I see no relation between thermal characterization parameter from device junction to package top [°C/W] and Rthjc.

In any case, if I am interested on Rthjc, can this data be provided by the manufacturer?

I deduced Tjmax =150ºC, based on Reliability Reports

Hi Silvia,

We do not provide Theta JC (Junction to case thermal resistance) data for our flash devices. But, we can provide you Theta JA and Psi JT thermal parameters. You can use them to calculate top surface temperature of our device as explained in our application note, AN201006.

Please see the available thermal parameters for our device S29JL064J60TFA000 (TS 048—48-Pin Standard TSOP).

Theta JA: 40 C/W

Psi JT: 17 C/W

Theta JA: 40 C/W

Hello Sudheesh,

Thank you for the data. I still don’t understand why Rthjc is not the same in this kind of parts as Psi JT (acc to Technical Note).

Also, in order to calculate Tt, we need to know which conditions are used for calculating Rthja in (ambient temperature, forced air or not…).
