Can someone confirm if discharge diode is required for the reset pin of CX3 or FX3
Thanks,

Hi Menaka,
Discharge Diode is usually used in reset circuitry to quickly and completely discharge the capacitor when there is any fluctuations in supply voltage.
The reset circuitry of CX3 or FX3 does not require this diode (there is no harm in adding it other than adding it to your bill of materials) because the device is designed in such a way that the capacitor can be discharged even if some fluctuations occur in supply voltage. This will not cause any issue in the long run.
There has not been any issues related to the reset in CX3 or FX3.

Dear Jayakrishna,
Thanks for the reply!
Can you please clarify my below questions
1. As a thumb rule the discharge diode is required for the reset pin, but why it is not needed for CX3 or FX3? Will it not cause any issue in the long run like 5 years or so
2. If not needed, can you explain in what kind of applications the discharge diode is needed for the reset pin?
3. Has there been any issue before related to reset in CX3 or FX3?
Thanks & Regards,
S.Menaka
