There is no known issue reported and when I checked the client control it works perfectly on both from finder as well as MTB IDE. Are you still facing the issue?
I would suggest you to delete/remove all depended files related to modus+BTSDK1.4 and reinstall it and then try again. It can be system related issue also.
I am still seeing the issue on my end. I have reinstalled before when 1.4 was released, but I will try again and see if that makes a difference. If I open the Windows app it works fine on both Windows 7 and 10. The issue only appears on my Mac.
Unfortunately that download has the same issue where is says that ClientControl is damaged.

Our software team's opinion is to follow below workarounds, because it can be a security issue also. Could you please try below workaround.
Please try "#4: Use xattr on the App Throwing the Damaged Error" in the first link below. Mostly this will solve the issue.
