Hi
WICED Studio SDK is the one which uses CYW4343W chipset.
mbt tool is provided as source file and executable file.
Basically mbt tool or CyBluetool will send HCI commands for doing the specific test.
Note:
1. To have BT test, its recommended to program CYW4343W with bt_mfg_test project available in WICED Studio SDK ( /43xxx_Wi-Fi/apps/test/bt_mfg_test )
2. After that you can send HCI commands as per Bluetooth SIG core spec for specific RF tests. You may also use Cy tools like mbt or CyBluetool which sends HCI commands to the controller . You may also use any other HCI tools available.
For example, for a Transmission test , refer to the HCI command structure in section 9.2.1 Transmission test of attached document.
Thanks,
Anjana

Hello,
Could you please confirm if this is for Bluetooth test ?
If then you may either use our mbt tool ( in WICED SDK : /43xxx_Wi-Fi/tools/mbt/Win32/ReadMe.txt )or CyBluetool ( CyBluetool (Windows Installer) )
Thanks,
Anjana

Hello,
My radio lab ask me to configure chip to transmit permanently at maximum power for radiated test.
Si it could be either WiFi or BT but I need to configure in Linux user space.

Hi ,
Please confirm with the lab if its for BT RF test. In that case you can use CyBluetool (linux) CyBluetool (Linux Installer) . Please go through user guide for steps. You may also use mbt tool available in WICED SDK( /43xxx_Wi-Fi/tools/mbt/Linux ).
Thanks,
Anjana

Hi,
Thank you for your answer.
Could you more specific regarding the Wiced SDK to use. Thre are several SDKs on this link : https://www.cypress.com/products/wiced-software
Is MBT tool is provided as source or binary ? Indeed, I need to run it on a ARM embedded processor and so cross compile it.

Hello,
Thank you for these elements
For information, I use a LBEE5KL1DX module from Murata that uses a CYW4343W chipset connected to an ARM microprocessor running Linux.
I do not program CYW4343W chipset but use following firmwares/binaries:
Bluetooth :
BCM43430A1.hcd
Wifi
brcmfmac43430-sdio.bin
brcmfmac43430-sdio.clm_blob
brcmfmac43430-sdio.txt
Must I replace BCM43430A1.hcd file with the output of bt_mfg_test project compilation?

Hello,
It seems I need a dedicated WL tools and manufacturing test firmware.
Murata provided me mfg_test Wifi firmware but can only provide already compiled WL Tools for iMX and X86 platform.
Are WL tools are available as source code in order to be cross compiled for my microprocessor (Linux 3.10, Cortex A5, uclibc)

Hi,
As MichaelF_56 mentioned These tools are not provided as source.
BT test details are shared in the previous response.
For dedicated WL tools and manufacturing test firmware , we would recommend you to contact the module partner Murata or our local FAEs.
Thanks,
Anjana
