Change VID/PID for boards based on CY7C68013-128AC (FX2) at customer's sites.

We would like to change the PID and VID in existing boards, in customer's sites without changing their firmware (we got a different PID and VID now)
Is there any way of doing it without sending the products back to us?
I am looking for a software that will identify our boards and then program the new VID and PID.

It has to be simple - most users cannot install programmers or development environments - they do not have any technical qualifications

Is there any simple way to do that?

Hello Avi,

The VID and PID (device descriptors) should be changed in the firmware's descriptor data file (dscr.a51)  directly.

If your FX2LP firmware is not designed to handle Vendor defined messages to change the device descriptors then the VID and PID cannot be changed through custom applications or VDMs
