common code in bootloader and application code

Due to  memory constraint, I want to share the common code (example UART code) between bootloader and application. I am using MB95F778 controller. Looking for some example code for how I can share the code and can access this code from both bootloader and application so that there is single copy of this code in flash.

Unfortunately, there is no available demo code sharing the code accessible from both bootloader and application.
