The valid channels for a particular country are defined in the blob file while the blob file is being created.
Please check the regulatory manual for understanding the blob generation process New Document Release: AN225347 - Cypress Wi-Fi CLM Regulatory Manual
It is possible that the blob file you are using in your system does not have all the channels enabled for region "KR". Can you please provide details of the medium through which the blob file was provided to you?
You can check all the valid country codes by using the command:
wl country list
You can use "wl chan_info" for checking the list of available channels after setting a particulat Country code.
Thanks for reply, the blob file verified that 'KR' SHOULD be a valid code, but we have verified that when we force the Country Code to this value, all WiFi channels are disabled.
Subsequently we found that the issue seems to be due to the WiFi device firmware that we are using. We found and downloaded a different firmware out of a Git Repository and when we swap this in for our existing device firmware, then 'KR' begins working.
FYI we are using a Murata Module: LBEH5HY1HK- based on the CYW43455 chip. The firmware file is brcmfmac43430-sdio.
Looking for guidance on where we can find verified (official) FW to resolve this issue.
The LBEH5HY1HK isn't a broad market module, so I reached out to Murata and they said that they are supporting you directly.
