Both are correct P/N, CY88121C is an active product but not recommended for new design. MB88121C is absolete. In fact, MB88121C/CY88121C are same part regarding fit form and function. Some related documentations can be found from cypress.com - http://www.cypress.com/search-results?as_q=MB88121 but datasheet can only be found from some Cypress distributors like https://www.digikey.com/products/en?keywords=CY88121C
Hello yliu, thank you for you answer.
Do you know if there is a newer recommended product to be used as Flexray controller?
The CY88121 Series is a FlexRay ASSP (application specific standard product) facilitates to add FlexRay connectivity to MCUs that do not comprise embedded FlexRay protocol cores. No direct ASSP replacement but maybe you can check our CY91F585 MCU which integrated with Flexray controller. Here is the link of CY91F585 datasheet:
your idea is good.
Is the CY91F585 the littlest MCU with an integrated Flexray controller in your portfolio or can you point me to something smaller (in terms of size, processing power, cost)?
