The USB 3014 works fine with FPGA for FIFO downloading.

The only issue is that it doesn't detect to a cable plug-in (no response).

It works after pressing the reset, SW7.

The schematic is attached, awg_2v11_pg19_20.pdf.

Also attached is the schematic for the previous design.

The previous design worked well and did not have this issue.

Thanks,

Andrew

Hello Andrew,

- Please increase the RC time constant of the nRESET pin to 10ms.

- Also, please probe the VBUS and VDD pins of FX3 when the device is not detected and let us know.

Best regards,

Srinath S

Hi Andrew,

I see that you’re using an I2C EEPROM so I’m thinking that you either want to boot from the I2C or USB boot (immediate or fallback). Could you please tell us what SW8 is set to and which resistors are loaded (R179, R181, and R183). Personally, I’m not real keen on 10K pull-downs. The same goes for R139, why not use a lower resister value.

Best,

Motz
