Hello Cypress.

Below is description of MBR3 design guide.

Document explains that recommended guard sensor thickness is 2mm.

Which part of guard sensor does this description explain?

Does this “thickness” define actual trace thickness(“A” of below figure)?

Or does this “thickness” define width length of guard sensor(“B” of below figure)?

Best Regards.

Bragadeesh-san.

Thank you for your answer.

Why did cypress use the word of “thickness” in explaining the specifications of guard sensor width length?

I think that many customers are confused by the word of “thickness”.

I think that it is difficult to associate sensor width with the word of “thickness”.

Best Regards.

Not all collegues at Cypress are native english language Speakers. I'm also not. So sometimes, we have a bit a misunderstanding, right?

Best regards!
