Hi.

My customer wants to know junction temperature(TJ) and thermal resistance from junction to case (Theta JC) for S25FL512SDPMFI010.

1)TJ
Max TA(ambient temperature) : 85℃
Tja(Theta JA) : 30.6℃/W
Max power consumption : 3.6(V) * 100(mA) = 360(mW)
TJ = 85 - 30.6 * 0.36 = 74(℃)
Is it correct?

2)Theta JC
Please tell it.

Best Regards,
Inoue

Hello Inoue-san,

The correct calculation for max operating junction temperature should be as follows:

     Tj =TA + (θja × Pd)

From the given formula, the max Operating Junction Temperature is:

     Tj = 85°C + (30.6 °C/W) (0.36 W) = 96°C

You can refer to below KBA:

How to Calculate the Operating Junction Temperature Tj – KBA220732

Theta JC value is  8.9 C/W.

Thanks,

Nada
