Serial Port Viewer Installation Fails on W10 64 bit

Hi,

I have a FM4-176L-S6E2CCA-ETH Pioneer Kit and I wanted to use Serial Port Viewer and Terminal (v.5.8.3) dowloaded from the Cypress site, but it fails to install on Windows 10, 64bit.

A popup window like this:

appears even if I change the compatibility mode to W7 or XP.

Can anyone help me with that?

Never seen this. Works fine on my compu win10/64

Have you enabled .NET 3.5 (normally this already check while insatllation)?

1. Go to Start and in the search type "Turn Windows features On or Off".
2. Click on "Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5".
3. Expand "Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5. and place a check mark on 2 options listed.
4. Restart the Computer.

SerialPortViewer is a nice tool (I like it!), but as it is not maintained anymore by CY you can use any other terminal program, too, e.g. terraterm

Thank you, I already checked the 2 options for Microsoft .NET Framework

3.5, but the result is the same.

I think it is something wrong with my W10 installation, I successfully

installed the tool on another computer running the same OS (64bit W10).
