We try to program the CYPD212-24LQXIT using PSoC  creator on a custom PCB using 5 pin connector, got a error  “dbg.M0039: There was an error running port acquire. There may be no devices attached, or a device may be in use by another application” while programming the device, Please find attached file for your reference .

This is mostly because of hardware design issue, check the XRES pin connection and power supply lines, probe the Vtag,XRES, SDA, SCL and see if any issue, or post the schematic of your custom board here to let the community experts to check and help you.

Hi Nagaraj,

Could you please kindly double confirm whether PSoC Programmer on your end is setting as below or not?

Hi Nagaraj,

Your PSoC Programmer window has below status:

pastedImage_0.png

As your schematic shows the power supply is 3.3V and the PSoC Programmer also shows 3.4V which is matching.

Also, I observed that the PSoC Programmer is able to connect to the Miniprog3 device.

Is it observed across all the hardware boards that you have?

Do you have any reference boards from Cypress, if so can you try read command using the Miniprog3?

Can you reduce the clock speed which can be configured in the list box next to the Clock Speed

Thank You & Regards,
