FTDI has the FT232H, FT2232H and FT4232H (I think only those 3), which are used to program and debug devices via the JTAG interface while connected t the USB port. The good thing about this is that this is supported by openocd and everything works properly. The thing is that I don1t want to use the FTDi chips, so ... is there a similar alternative made by Cypress or any other company?
The CY7C65215 chip (Cypress's USB Serial Bridge) can be used. This is used in our FX3 super speed explorer kit for JTAG Debugging (openocd supported)
