    peak detector

I am trying to sample a saw tooth wave of 50 kHz using sample and hold of CY8C3866-AXI-40 (CY8CC KIT-001). The sample frequency is set at 2 MHz, and amplitude varied from  the range 100 mV to 4V using Agilant 33250A waveform generator. I observed that the peak of the resultant wave form is not exactly following the original one when the input varies from  range where I have noted. The electrical spec is not covering the amplitude error or anything related to it other than offset. I used sample (down) mixer also. It has also behaved in the same manor. So that, when the mixer is used for peak detection application then it detects a wrong peak. Pl suggest some idea.
