If I go to Tools->Options->Text Editor and Enable autocomplete feature, every time I write some code in the tool, it takes a few seconds to show the characters I'm typing. This is a very annoying behavior when you simply want to write some code.

If I disable the autocomplete feature, it works just fine. Anyone experienced the same problem? My colleagues do not have this issue, so I wonder what in my environment is causing this issue.

I'm using PSoC Creator 4.1 and 4.2.

It turns out the problem is related to the "Sort alphabetically" option.

If I unchecked that (which is what I was doing), it slows down the auto-complete.

Thanks for the help.

I am using the autocomplete feature with following configuration.  It is fine for me.

The autocomplete performance depends on the specification of the PC.  Please let me know a summary of your environment.

I am using...

Core i5-6300U (2.4GHz)

20.0GB RAM

500GB SSD

Windows 7 Professional 64bit Service Pack 1
