The minimum erasesize of this chip is a Sector, wich for this chip is 4KB throughout the whole chip.

So I only need 4KB Buffers / Caches instead of 4KB + 64KB for higher regions.

Is my understanding of the datasheet correct?

Thanks !

Hello Dominik,

If you want to erase only 4KB sectors you can have 4KB buffers which will be sufficient. But if you want to perform Half block or block erases then you need larger size buffers. In Half block and Block you are going to erase 32K and 64K regions at one go.

Thanks,

Krishna.

Thats awesome for small size applications where there's no external RAM and 64KB do hurt much!

Thanks!
