We have adjusted the embedded image issue within the system you should be able to do so now. In addition you can attach the image as well if needed. Please let us know if you have any additional questions.
OK, let me try:
Hmm, I just added the image with drag-and-drop into the editor (where it shows up), and the submitted my post. Nothing appears :( Its a 12k JPEG...
OK, so let me try Chromium/Linux. Drag-n-drop doesn't work, so 'Embed Image':
OK, when doing so I get a popup that says: "The selected text format will not allow it to display images. The text format will need to be changed for this image to display properly when saved." (Though I can see the image in the editor just fine - lets see what happens...)
OK, so the embedding as such works (but the error message is quite misleading). Dragging an image into the editor works in the preview, but is not saved.
Apologies for the inconvenience. we have resolved the issues with the "Embed Image" link on the 'Add new comment' section and we are working on enabling the drag and drop feature to the forums.
Please follow below steps to post the image on the forums:
- Write a comment
- Click on Embed Image
- Select the file and upload it [Click on Insert button is not required]
- Post the comment
we are in the process of improving our forum functionality and will be posting the updates soon.
Please let us know if you have any concerns on Cypress.com.

No problem. The current way works OK, and if drag-and-drop is in the works then its fine.
