I'm not sure what the problem was. But it's gone, anyway.
I had to copy and paste my files on a project that didn't have this problem.
This may due to old PSoC Creator you are using. Does this happen with the latest PSoC Creator? PSoC Creator 1.0 (FCS)?
- This can happen in PSoC Creator 1.0 (FCS release) with the latest ADC component. This component requires VREF to be within the valid range, that is 0.9 V - 1.3 V. When the range is set to VSSA to VDDA, the same is determined by VDDA value set in the "Project.CYDWR". The VDDA value needs to be set to correct value in the Design Wide Resource file as as shown in the figure attached.
- In your case, VDDA might have been set to 5.5 Volts resulting in VREF being VDDA/4 that is 1.375V which is out of range.
- This issue appears when you migrate from old version of ADC to the latest version in PSoC Creator 1.0. To avoid this delete the old component from your topdesign and replace it with the new component manually.
