    SYSTICK Timer Frequency

    douglas.mcclean

      I'm setting up FreeRTOS on my PSoC 5 starter kit.

      It works beautifully.

      It registers itself to listen to (among others) the SYSTICK interrupt, using code like this:

      CyRamVectors[ 15 ] = ( cyisraddress ) xPortSysTickHandler;

      What is the period of this counter? If it's configurable, how is it configured? I can't find anything in the design-wide resources file or by searching the code?

      If I understand properly, I should use my knowledge of the period of this counter to set the configTICK_RATE_HZ parameter in my FreeRTOSConfig.h file.

      A setting of 1000 seems to be correct for my setup and matches my wall clock well enough, but I'd like to understand how this came to be.
